Oudomxay – tribal villages – Muang Beng- Muang Pak beng

 

Day01: Oudomxay – Chom Ong Cave- tribal villages – Muang Beng(_/L/D)

After your breakfast, meet your tour guide at your hotel in town.

Then we drive for 45 km to Chom Ong cave. On the way we will visit tribal villages of Hmong, Khmu.

Arrive at the Chom Ong Cave, this cave is the biggest cave in northern Laos.

According to information, this cave is 16 km in depth, 15-50 m in width,

and  25 – 100 m  in height. We explore inside the cave, we are allowed to go inside for 500 m in depth.

Then we drive to Muang Beng, sightseeing on the way.

Visit Ban Yor, a pottery products and clothes weaving village of Tai Lue,

Good chance to learn Tai Lue culture and traditions.

Arrive in Muang Beng, stay at local guesthouse in town.

 

Day02: Muang Beng – tribal villages – Muang Houn –

Waterfall – Pak Beng(B/L/D)

after breakfast, we visit local morning market in town.

Drive to Muang Houn, drive off road  for 24 km away from Muang Moun to visit

Tad Nam Haeng waterfall, amazing waterfall hidden in untouched forests, allowed to visit during dry season( not possible to visit during rainy season, because of road access still worst).

Then drive to Pak Beny( Muang Pak Beng), a small town located on Mekong river Bank, end the tour.
